What Autism Family Support of Florida is, and is not
Autism Family Support of Florida provides education, guidance, and preparation for families of autistic children in Florida. We help you understand the paperwork, insurance, benefits, and systems involved, organize your own applications and appeals, and prepare for meetings.
We want to be very clear about the line, because it is the reason you can trust the rest:
- We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or representation. Nothing on this site or in our services is legal advice, and using them does not create an attorney-client relationship.
- We are not a medical or clinical provider. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy, and nothing here is medical, behavioral, or clinical advice. Decisions about your child's care are made with your licensed clinicians.
- We are not an insurance provider or agent. We do not bill insurance and do not act for any insurer, Medicaid program, school district, or government agency. We work for the family.
- We do not guarantee any outcome. No specific result, including approval of a claim, appeal, waiver, benefit, or educational service, is or can be guaranteed. We help you make the strongest case you can; the decisions belong to the agencies, insurers, and providers involved.
Our information is general and specific to Florida, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney or clinician. When your situation calls for one, we will tell you plainly and point you to the right kind of professional.
Using the site and our content
Our articles and guides are free to read and to use for your own family. You may not copy, republish, or resell our content, templates, or materials as your own, or use them to provide a competing service, without our written permission.
